Frequently asked questions
Practical answers about accountless access, privacy, invitations, reservations, RSVP and shop information.
Do I need an account?
No. You create a list, save its private management link and share a different public link. There is no profile, password or mailing list.
What happens if I lose my private link?
There is no password reset. If the owner cookie still works on a device, open the management page and rotate the link. Otherwise use the one-time email option when the list is first created. A public link or email address alone cannot prove ownership, so Wisploft may be unable to restore access.
Can I add gifts from any shop?
Yes. Paste a product link from any website or add a gift without a link. Manually entered details are editable. Shop-fetched prices are shown as shop information and are refreshed rather than manually overwritten.
How current are prices and stock?
They are snapshots from a shop or product page and can change at any time. The shop page at checkout is authoritative. Wisploft shows freshness where it has a reliable timestamp.
Can guests reserve gifts without signing up?
Yes. A guest can hold a quantity for seven days, release it, or mark it as bought. Replaying an old form cannot reopen a bought gift or claim more than the requested quantity.
Will the owner see who bought what?
No guest identity is collected for gift reservations, and the owner view deliberately avoids revealing which guest bought which item. The owner can correct a stuck claim when needed, so do not use that control just to inspect surprises.
How private is a public list or event?
It is unlisted and not intended for search engines, but it is not access-controlled. Anyone who receives or forwards the public link can open it. Keep sensitive addresses or notes off a broadly shared link.
How does accountless RSVP work?
When a host enables RSVP, guests answer on the private event link with a display name, attendance and optional party details. No email or phone number is required. The same browser can update its answer, and the host can see responses.
How does the free invitation work?
After adding at least one gift, the owner can submit a digital invitation brief. A person reviews the brief and returns the result by email. Design or AI tools may assist; the privacy notice explains the data handling. Delivery timing is confirmed per request rather than guaranteed on the website.
How do reviews work?
Reviews are moderated under the published review policy. Wisploft cannot verify purchases, so published reviews are clearly labelled unverified; positive and negative reviews follow the same rules.
Does Wisploft use tracking or advertising cookies?
No. Only first-party cookies needed for security and accountless editing, deletion, RSVP and reservations are used. Outbound shops apply their own privacy and cookie notices after you choose to visit them.
Can AI see my invitation data?
Only if an AI tool is useful for the invitation you requested, and the brief is minimised first. API data is not used for model training by default; limited provider abuse logs may still exist as explained in the privacy notice.
