Creating a wishlist

How to create a wishlist without an account

Create an online wishlist without registering, add gifts from different shops and share one clear link with friends and family.

How to create a wishlist without an account

You can create a wishlist without an account in three steps: name your list, add links to gifts and share the public link. There is no profile to set up and no password to remember. Your private management link gives access to the list, so keep it safe.

Why make a wishlist without an account?

An account can be useful for a service you use every week. For a birthday, wedding or housewarming, registration often adds work without helping the occasion. An account-free list makes it easier for both the person creating it and the guests opening it.

The main benefits are:

  • you can start immediately;
  • you do not need to provide a password or profile details;
  • guests can view the list without signing in;
  • one link works in WhatsApp, email or a digital invitation.

Wisploft deliberately separates the public link from the management link. Guests receive the public link. Only the owner should have the management link used to edit or delete the list.

Step by step

1. Give the list a recognisable name

Use a title guests will understand immediately, such as “Noor's birthday” or “Our new home”. A clear title prevents confusion when somebody returns to the link in a busy group chat.

2. Add gifts from online shops

Paste a product link, then check its name, price and image. Shops do not all expose product information in the same way, so you can correct the details when a product page is incomplete.

3. Share only the public link

Send guests the public wishlist link. Treat the management link like a password and keep it private. Add the public link to an invitation or send it shortly before the event.

What should you check?

Part Helpful Best avoided
Title Name the person or occasion Only “My list”
Gifts Offer several price ranges Only expensive gifts
Details Mention size, colour or version Making guests guess
Sharing Send the public link Forwarding the management link

Frequently asked questions

Can guests view the list without an account?

Yes. A shared Wisploft list can be viewed without registration. Guests do not need an account to reserve a gift either.

How do I edit my list later?

Open the private management link you receive when creating the list. It lets you add gifts, correct details and choose the list's appearance.

Is an account-free list publicly searchable?

A Wisploft list is designed to be shared through its direct link. Personal lists are excluded from the public sitemap and carry instructions telling search engines not to index them.
